Coupons

Create coupons, manage your coupon library, and apply coupons to customer orders in your shop.

Manage Shop Coupons

Select the Lists icon on the left-side navigation. Select Coupons.

From the coupons list page, you can view a snapshot of your coupons usage data, search and view coupons created in your shop, and create new coupons.

The snapshot at the top of the page will provide an overview of the usage data for coupons in your shop. This includes the total number of coupon redemptions at your shop and the total dollar amount of applied discounts from coupons.

The table provides a more in-depth view of coupon data. Search for coupons and customize the columns of data displayed.

Data displayed includes:

Status: Active, Inactive, or Scheduled
Name: Name of coupon
Coupon Code: Coupon code to be used for redemption (e.g. WELCOME20)
Amount: Discount amount by percentage or dollar amount
Applies to: Coupon eligible to apply to entire order or a specific canned service(s) or canned service category
Redemptions: Total number of redemptions of this coupon
Applied Disc.: Total dollar amount of applied discounts from this coupon
Min. Spend: Minimum dollar amount spend for coupon to be eligible
Max. Disc.: Maximum dollar amount allowed to be discounted by using this coupon
Max. Redempt.: The total maximum number of redemptions allowed for the coupon in the shop (not the maximum number of redemptions per customer)
Start: Coupon start date
Expires: Coupon expiration date

Select a coupon from the table to view redemption and activity data for that specific coupon.

Create Coupons

Select + New Coupon in the top right corner of the Coupons list page.

Fill out the New Coupon Menu with the coupon details.

Name: Name of coupon
Start Date: Date that this coupon will become active
- Please Note: The start date cannot be a date in the past
Expiration Date: Optional
Discount Amount: Percentage or dollar amount
Applies to: Select either Entire Order or Canned Service
- Canned service: Select one or multiple Canned Service Categories or Individual Services to be eligible for this coupon
Coupon Code: Create your own or auto-generate
- Please Note: This code is not case-sensitive and must be unique from other coupon codes used in your shop
Min. Spend: Minimum dollar amount spend for coupon to be eligible
Max. Disc.: Maximum dollar amount allowed to be discounted by using this coupon
Max. Redempt.: The total maximum number of redemptions allowed for the coupon in the shop (not the maximum number of redemptions per customer)
Additional Terms: Enter any additional coupon terms here

Apply a Coupon to an Order

Select the Coupons tab from the right-side panel. Select the coupon you’d like to apply from the dropdown. If eligible, you will see a confirmation that the coupon has been applied.

The customer will see the applied coupon on their copy of the invoice.

Coupons FAQs

Are coupons pre-tax or post-tax?

Coupons are pre-tax, meaning if the original price of something you sell is $100, but you offer a 50% discount, then the taxable price is $50.

How do coupons affect shop reporting?

For items like orders, sales, and invoice reporting, coupons will follow the same structure as discount reporting (i.e., reduce the payment amount in reporting).

What about fees?

Coupons do not apply to fees like EPA and Shop Supplies on orders/services.
