What is Payment Path?
Starting February 2, we are enhancing our Sunbit Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) integration to help drive even more revenue for your shop.
This new BNPL feature, Payment Path, helps advisors introduce payment plans early, so customers feel confident saying “yes” to recommended services. You’ll get to:
- Easily launch the feature from the Workflow page or an Estimate by clicking the “Explore payment plans” button.
- See your customer’s full spending power upfront.
- Talk through payment plan options together at the start of the visit, reducing declined services.
Depending on the applicant, this feature can offer:
- Available for orders from $60-$20,000
- No hard credit check (Account openings and payment activity are reported to a major credit bureau)
- All approved customers see a 3-month 0% APR plan*
- High approval rates: 90% of customers receive approvals
- No hidden costs: No late fees, origination fees, or penalties
How does this work?
On the Workflow Page or within an order, a new Payment Plans button allows service writers to pre-qualify customers (even new ones) who call in for quotes before a work order is created.
The Payment Path Journey
- Initiation: The service writer sends a link via SMS or email to the customer.
- Customer Action: The customer fills out personal details on their own device.
- Real-Time Visibility: The service writer sees a live "stepper" showing exactly where the customer is in the application process.
- Approval: Once approved, a banner appears in the customer profile on the lists page and the work order showing the maximum amount they are qualified for.
Note: If a service writer closes the Payment Path window, they won't see the live progress, but the final approval banner will still populate on the customer profile (and the order) once the customer finishes.
