When you connect business bank accounts and credit cards, your business transactions are automatically uploaded into Shopmonkey Accounting.
Manage Linked Accounts and Credit Cards
Select the bank icon on the left-side navigation. Select Bank Transactions.
View current linked accounts and credit cards.
Link Accounts
Select + Add Account to add additional business bank accounts or credit cards.
Shopmonkey uses Plaid to connect accounts. Select Continue without phone number (or, optionally, enter your phone number).
Select your financial institution and continue to login to access your business bank account.
From here, follow the instructions to sign in to your financial institution and grant read-only access.
- If prompted, select the account(s) that you would like to connect to Shopmonkey Accounting
- You may be asked to input your phone number again, select Continue without saving
Unlink Accounts
Hover over the bank account or credit card you would like to disconnect from Shopmonkey Accounting. Select the ... ellipsis in the top right corner. Select Unlink Account.
Repair Connections with Accounts
Bank accounts you have already linked sometimes unlink when:
- your bank password or security settings are changed, or
- if you are using a small bank (e.g., local credit union) with inconsistent service
To fix the connections, follow the steps below:
- In the Linked Accounts section, select the bank account or credit card you would like to disconnect.
- Select Fix Account next to the accounts that have been disconnected. Select Repair Connection.
- Enter your credentials to reconnect your account.
