Automatically calculate the labor rate on a labor line item to accommodate for service package pricing without having to create and save multiple custom labor rates. The labor rate for that service (or package) will adjust based on the hours or the subtotal amount selected on the labor line item.

Unlock a Labor Rate

From within an order, create a labor line item. Select the labor rate under the Rate/hr column. Select Unlocked Rate.

Once the labor rate is unlocked, the labor rate will adjust based on the adjusted Hours and Subtotal on that labor line item.

To change back to a saved labor rate, select the labor rate and choose a custom rate from the dropdown. This will lock the labor rate and automatically adjust the subtotal of the labor line item.
