Fixed Price Services allow you to lock a subtotal price for a service. This will help make your prices consistent for customers, even when line items costs change.

If the cost of the all line items equals more than the fixed price set, the labor rate will auto-calculate to meet the fixed price. Notice in the example above that the labor rate starts with an $85.00 subtotal. After setting the fixed price, the labor rate subtotal adjusts.

If the fixed price is set lower than the difference between the service subtotal and the labor rate subtotal (service subtotal - labor rate subtotal), both the labor line item and the part line item(s) will be discounted.

The labor rate will become $0.00 (the labor rate will never become negative) and Shopmonkey automatically applies a locked discount to each part line item price. These line item prices cannot be edited or removed. In order to change the total, the fixed price must be edited.

To remove a fixed price, simply select the locked price on the service and select Remove.

Can I use coupons on services with a fixed price?

Yes. Service-level discounts and coupons apply to the subtotal on services with a fixed price. Line item discounts cannot be applied to services with a fixed price.

Can I set a fixed price on a service with more than one labor line?

No. Fixed prices only support services with one labor line. Services with two or more labor lines will not be able to have a fixed price set.

What about fees on a service with a fixed price?

Fees on services with a fixed price must be a flat dollar amount, not percentage based.
