PartsTech Integration

PartsTech is one of the leading auto parts and tire search engines. With more than 225 parts and tire suppliers across 30K+ locations, you can always find the parts and tires you need in one lookup. Shopmonkey’s PartsTech integration allows you to search and order parts from multiple parts and tire suppliers in one screen, add the information directly to the customer order, and view the order anytime, anywhere – all without having to leave Shopmonkey.

Please Note: You will need a PartsTech account to integrate PartsTech with Shopmonkey. Check out the New PartsTech Users section of Set Up PartsTech Integration to create a free account if you don’t already have one. Be sure to select your parts suppliers on your PartsTech account in order to buy parts.

Procure Parts with PartsTech

From within an estimate, select the Parts & Tires tab. Select Order with PartsTech.

If you have already added services to the estimate, select the Parts & Tires tab, Shop next to a part, and Order with PartsTech.

Once in the PartsTech window, search for the parts and tires you need and Add to Cart. Notice that the PartsTech PO number on your cart matches the order number in Shopmonkey. Select Submit Quote.

After submitting your quote on PartsTech, you will be redirected to Shopmonkey with the option to Swap Estimate Items with PartsTech Items in your cart. Select which parts you’d like to swap for PartsTech items on the estimate. Select Swap.

PartsTech Part Pricing

On your order services, you’ll now see that swapped parts have the tag PO Drafted, and the cost will update based on the pricing matrix (if you have one set up in your shop).

Select the part to view the part information and edit pricing details. Make any changes to the retail price for this part, if desired. You can also select Use PartsTech List Price.

💡 PartsTech Vendor List Price is the equivalent of the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price). It is your shop's responsibility to determine the pricing, markup, and/or margin on parts sold.

Pro-Tip: Toggle on Vendor’s List Pricing to set the retail price for parts from PartsTech as the vendor’s list pricing by default. Do this in Settings > Parts Procurement. This will override the pricing matrix you might have in place for PartsTech parts.

Place PartsTech Part Order

From within an estimate, select the Parts & Tires tab. You will see the PartsTech part you swapped on the estimate has a purchase order created and has the PO Drafted tag. Select the PO number to view the draft purchase order.
