Add notes to orders, customers, fleets, vehicles, and vendor profiles for consistent internal communication within your shop. Internal notes are not visible by customers.
Add Internal Notes to an Order
From within an order, select the Notes tab.
Add an internal note to the order. Type a note, add attachments, and @ mention other shop users. Select Save.
Select the … ellipsis to Edit, Copy, or Delete a note. Please Note: You are only able to edit or delete a note that you posted.
Add Internal Notes to a Profile
Add notes to customers, fleets, vehicles, and vendor profiles. Find the profile you’re looking for from the Lists Page and select the Notes tab on that profile.
Adding, editing, and deleting notes works the same on a profile as it does on an order.
Internal Notes in Messages
Select the message icon in the top right corner.
Toggle on Notes in threads to make internal notes visible to the shop user (not the customer) within the message thread. Viewing internal notes on the message thread is a great way to read notes on the right-side panel while viewing other parts of an order.
Within the conversation, yellow messages with the lock icon represent internal notes that are not visible to the customer. These will include messages associated with the customer profile or the specified order(s) associated with the customer.
Please Note: New internal notes cannot be added in a message thread. Only pre-existing internal notes can be viewed within the message thread.
