Technician Detail Report
This brand-new report provides better insights into technician performance by bringing together detailed items from time clocks and order line items – all into one report.
New stats found at the top of this report give you a snapshot of important metrics. When drilling down into the existing Summary/Services by Tech report, you will be directed to this new Technician Detail Report for more detailed results.
New Improvements
- Draft Messages: You can now resume customer conversations seamlessly with Draft Messages, which are saved across browsers and persist even after signing in and out of Shopmonkey.
- Purchase Order Update: Purchase Orders (POs) are now automatically created and immediately display the PO # when a new PO is created.
- Purchase Order Activity History: "Activity History" is now available for POs. This provides quick access to details like PO creation date, line item modifications, and PO status changes.
- Reviews Manager Update: You can now view when a customer was last sent a review request to avoid sending duplicate requests.
- New Reviews Trigger: Google reviews can now be triggered when an invoice is fully paid, in addition to the previous option of triggering when a payment is made.
- Message Tabs & Order Pins: The order pins in the top bar and the message tabs within customer messages now include additional vehicle details, such as VIN, License Plate, and Unit Number, for quicker reference.
- QuickBooks - Canada Update: The QuickBooks Online Sync field is now editable for Canned Service parts, tires, labor, and fees. This is particularly useful for shops that map these items directly to QuickBooks products or services and use canned service line items not tied to inventory.
- Tax-Exempt Customers: Users will benefit from improved handling of taxable and non-taxable items on orders for tax-exempt customers, making the process smoother and more efficient.
- Report Filter Update: When using the 'Custom' date range filter in Reports, the date range now defaults to the current month instead of the previous month.
- Settings Update: Users with appropriate permissions can now update credit card information directly in the app via the Billing Page in Shop Settings.
- Printing Orders: You can now print orders even if there are no services or line items included.

Face ID for iOS Mobile App
Face ID for iOS is now available on the Shopmonkey Mobile App! Login with a tap of a button and jump right back into your work without having to stop and type in your password. Face Unlock for the Android mobile app is also in development and will be announced in a future release.
New Improvements
- Labor Line Update: A new general setting now allows shop admins to enable or disable the automatic appearance of the labor line on new services.
- Workflow Filter Sorting: Tag sorting preferences are now saved. For example, if you change the sort order from A->Z to Color and return later, the sort will still be set to Color.
- Payments Permissions: Admins can now control which users can take payments while restricting their ability to refund or edit existing payments.
- QuickBooks Mapping: QuickBooks item references for parts, tires, labor, or fees now include the associated QuickBooks class value. This applies to items mapped after February 25. Contact support if you need existing mappings updated to include the class value.
- PDF Update: The Work Order PDF now includes the order's due date. The Payment Term has been removed from this PDF.
- Parts Order Date & Time: The date and time an order was placed now appear in the PO column on the Parts & Tires page for parts procurement orders.
- Report Drill Down Improvements: You can now click any amount on the Summary by Line Item Category or Summary by Line Item Type reports to drill down into the Line Item Detail report. Filters will automatically adjust to match the original report.
- Report Filter Improvements: The "All Orders," "Invoices," "Paid Invoices," "Unpaid Invoices," and "All Estimates" reports can now be filtered by Service Writer. The Service Writer column is now sortable.
- Technician Detail Report Update: The Technician Detail report now includes the (Labor) Cost Hours column. When drilling down from the Summary or Services by Technician report, you can view the detailed cost hours summarized in those reports.
- Vehicle Year Update: The "vehicle year" field is now optional when creating a custom vehicle, making it easier to accommodate vehicles without a specific model year (e.g., trailers, restored vehicles, etc.).
- Phone Labels: Phone number labels (e.g., mobile, home, etc.) are now displayed everywhere the customer's phone number appears.
- Order Authorizations: The authorized/declined/not authorized summary is back and can be found in the "authorizations" dropdown.
- Message Center: It’s now easier to see which phone number or email you’re sending a message to from the message center.
- Appointments: The appointment form now allows you to select any vehicle and customer, even if they’re not previously linked. Ownership will be automatically assigned.
