Dispute Visibility, Dashboard Updates, and Upcoming Purchase Order Improvements
Updated: August 21, 2026
Welcome back to our latest release notes! Last month, we shared a series of updates across Shopmonkey, and we're back with even more for August.
This month, your team can manage payment disputes directly in Shopmonkey and message customers from the mobile app. We've also included a preview of important Purchase Order updates rolling out next week, along with information about upcoming releases like Tipping and Scheduled Reports.
If this is your first time visiting our Latest Releases page, here's how it works:

New Improvements
- Dispute Visibility: Managing payment disputes has typically meant tracking statuses manually and reaching out for updates. With this release, users with the appropriate permissions can view incoming disputes, track response deadlines, submit evidence, and check dispute status directly in the Payments settings menu. In-app notifications will also keep your team informed at every stage, from incoming alerts and deadline reminders to final decisions. To learn more, check out our Payment Dispute Reference Guide.
- HQ – Invoice Locking: For multi-location customers using Shopmonkey HQ, a new setting is now available that lets HQ Admins lock invoices on a daily or weekly schedule to prevent edits after the fact. If a shop needs to make a change to a locked invoice, they'll need to request a temporary unlock from the HQ Admin. This helps your organization maintain consistent records across locations. To learn more, check out our updated knowledge base article.
- Dashboard Updates: Our updated Dashboard with new insights and comparative data is beginning to roll out to all customers. The full rollout will happen over the course of a couple of weeks, so if you don't see it in your shop yet, it will be available soon. This updated experience helps you and your team see how your day, week, or month is performing at a glance. Team members without reporting access will also see a new Personal view, giving everyone visibility into their own performance. To learn more, check out the updated Dashboard knowledge base article.
- Mobile App Messaging: Message Center is now available in the iOS and Android Shopmonkey app. Your team can now message customers from anywhere with the same core messaging experience available on the web, including unread and unresponded filters, order-specific conversations, bulk actions, AI Smart Replies, internal notes, message templates, and delivery indicators. New Improvements - Coming Soon
-
Purchase Order Updates: Starting next week, purchase orders will receive two updates that improve how inventory costs are updated and how your team can edit purchase orders. These updates will roll out to all customers on Clever and Genius plans throughout the week. If you don't see these updates on Monday, your shop will be included later in the week.
- First, Purchase Orders will now be editable outside of the Draft status. Previously, if your team needed to update a PO, it had to be moved back to Draft first. Editable fields will now be available when a PO is in Ordered, Received, or Fulfilled status.
-
Second, Purchase Orders for inventory items will now update the cost along with the quantity. If the cost of an inventory item has increased on a recent batch order, your inventory will reflect that new cost from the latest purchase order.
-
Tipping: For shops using Shopmonkey Payments, a new Tipping option will soon be available. This will allow your team to collect tips from customers when they pay digitally. Tipping will be an optional feature that needs to be turned on in your Payments settings once it is released. We'll share more details over the coming weeks.
- Scheduled Reports: Our team is currently beta testing Scheduled Reports with a handful of shops. This Genius plan feature will allow users with reporting access to schedule saved reports to be delivered via email on a one-time or recurring basis. We'll share more once beta testing is complete.
