New Features, Improvements, and Reports!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at SEMA this year. Any chance we get to connect with customers is time well spent, and it’s what helps shape future features and improvements. With our team traveling, this month’s notes are a little later than usual, but we’re back and excited to share this next batch.
And as a reminder, we’re improving how release notes are organized, so feel free to explore and bookmark the new Release Notes landing page in our Support Center, where you can find all prior release notes as well.
New Improvements
- New Reports: If you have reporting access, you now have two new reports, Sales by Line Item Type and Sales by Line Item Category. These give you summarized sales and profitability numbers across parts, labor, tires, subcontract, and fees, along with category-level detail. Check out the updated report articles linked in this update.
- New Reporting Filters: A new Inventory Source Filter is now available in the reports mentioned above and in the Line Item Detail report. This lets you filter results by items sold from inventory, not from inventory, or both.
- Line Item Detail - Filters: The Line Item Detail report now includes new filters for Service Writers and Technicians (to return only the results they’re assigned to), Customer Type (Customer vs. Fleet), Line Item Tags, Vendors, and Workflow Status. You can also now search for a specific Part Number to quickly see that part’s sales history.
- Order Settings: Orders now include a new option for how line items begin. Previously, every line started as “Labor” or “Part.” You can now choose to have all lines start with a number (“1, 2, 3…”). This toggle is persistent, so once you change it in one order, all orders follow that format, and you can switch back at any time.
- Order Checklist: You can now require Tire TIN numbers on the order checklist. If your shop isn’t using Order Checklists yet but wants to ensure the team consistently captures important order details, make sure to check out our dedicated article about Order Checklists.
- Order Tax Rates: You will now receive an in-app warning when different services have different tax rates within the same order.
- Fees & Taxes: When you update your shop's tax rate, shop supply fees, or EPA fees in General Settings, those updated amounts will now automatically apply to any existing canned services that were using the same values.
- Parts Returns: Part Returns now include optional fields for Vendor Invoice # and Credit Invoice #, and both fields are now displayed in the Part Returns table for easier tracking.
